Interpreter Training Program (ITP), active Registry of Interpreters
for the Deaf (RID) certification, and 1 years Interpreter
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a
Braillist position supporting K-12 students in a full-time,
contract role within a school setting located in the Franklin, TN
area. The assignment focuses primarily on elementary-age students
and involves hands-on work creating and preparing tactile learning
materials to support students who are visually impaired. Key
Responsibilities: Produce high-quality braille documents and
tactile graphics to enhance learning accessibility Collaborate
closely with educators and specialists to ensure materials meet
curriculum and individual student needs Maintain and organize
braille production equipment and inventory Stay current with best
practices and technologies in braille transcription and tactile
materials Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience
working as a Braillist, particularly with elementary-age students
Proficiency in creating tactiles and braille documents in
accordance with educational standards Strong attention to detail
and organizational skills Ability to work effectively onsite within
a school environment and collaborate with educational teams
Appropriate certification or licensure in braille transcription is
preferred Location and Schedule: On-site position in the Franklin,
TN area Full-time hours with a contract duration from the beginning
of the school year through May 21, 2026 This role offers the chance
