Verification Planning & Strategy Develop, maintain, and update the Verification & Validation (V&V) plan in alignment with program goals and relevant industry standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-178/254, MIL-STD, ARP4754) Identify appropriate verification methods—including analysis, inspection, demonstration, and testing—and assign them to system and component requirements Participate in requirements reviews to ensure they are clear, testable, and traceable throughout the V&V process Test Development & Execution Design detailed test procedures, define test cases, and establish pass/fail criteria Lead or assist in testing at the component, subsystem, and system levels, covering laboratory, bench, environmental, and integration activities Coordinate test setup, instrumentation, and configuration with laboratory and test engineering teams Ensure proper configuration management of all test hardware, software, and documentation Data Analysis & Reporting Examine test results, generate comprehensive test reports, and document anomalies or deviations from expected performance Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues, plan retests, and achieve verification closure Maintain traceability and evidence of compliance in requirements management systems (e.g., DOORS, RV&S, 3DX) Systems & Requirements Integration Maintain full traceability of requirements throughout the verification lifecycle Support technical reviews such as PDR, CDR, TRR, and qualification reviews Assess the impact of requirement changes on V&V activities, schedule, and re-verification needs Contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing V&V methodologies, tools, and workflows Additional Responsibilities Occasional domestic and international travel ( Follow safe work practices and actively support the company's health, safety, and environmental programs Perform other related duties as assigned Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum of 2 years of experience in verification & validation, system testing, or systems engineering in a regulated or certification-focused environment Required Skills & Competencies Solid understanding of requirements-based engineering and the product development lifecycle Experience with laboratory testing, data acquisition systems, and test execution procedures Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, RV&S, 3DX, or equivalent) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, system diagrams, and test data Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and regulated engineering teams Knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-704/-810, ARP4754A, and ARP4761 Familiarity with aircraft electrical systems, power electronics, or electrical machines Exposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or model-based testing approaches Experience supporting qualification testing, certification activities, or design assurance processes Familiarity with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments US Persons required Soft Skills Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, software, analysis) Proactive problem-solving approach with attention to detail Strong organizational skills and commitment to structured processes under schedule constraints Salary Range: $85,000-90,000 The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
