Job Description:
Guitar Center, a leader in the retail of musical instruments, is
seeking a skilled Guitar Technician to join our technical support
team. This position is ideal for those who have a deep passion for
music, especially guitars, and are skilled in the maintenance,
repair, and setup of various types of guitars. As a Guitar
Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality
and playability of instruments through meticulous craftsmanship and
a detailed understanding of guitar mechanics. This role requires a
combination of technical skills and customer service, as you will
also assist customers in selecting and maintaining their
instruments. Conduct setups, maintenance, and repairs on a variety
of guitar models, including both acoustic and electric guitars.
Diagnose and repair electronic components of electric guitars, such
as pickups, jacks, and switches. Assist customers by providing
knowledgeable advice on guitar maintenance, and setup to improve
instrument playability and longevity. Manage inventory of parts and
tools to perform repairs and maintenance. Keep abreast of the
latest trends and techniques in guitar technology to provide the
best solutions to customers. Coordinate with sales staff to assist
in product demonstrations and recommend products that meet
customers' needs. In-depth knowledge of guitar hardware and the
ability to perform setups, intonation, and action adjustments.
Proficiency in repairing and maintaining guitar electronics. Strong
customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
with clients. Attention to detail and precision in handling fine
adjustments and delicate tasks. Ability to manage time effectively
and work autonomously. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized luthier school or
similar technical training is highly desirable, though not strictly
required.
