Director of Corporate Land Entitlement and Development is to
support each Division's entitlement and/or development team in
achieving their goals by implementing Stanley Martin Way processes
and policies. The role involves occasional travel to divisions for
in-person meetings and site visits.Responsibilities and
Duties:
- Review land acquisition projects for feasibility, including
land due diligence, preliminary and site construction plans, and
budgets.
- Assist teams with value engineering solutions related to site
grading, utility design, and construction.
- Guide land development general contractor scoping, bidding,
negotiating, and contracting.
- Ensure project management best practices are followed,
including regular progress meetings.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Accounting to review
land development budgets quarterly.
- Support land reporting to aid leadership decision-making.
- Work with Corporate Field Operations to ensure safety policies
are followed and lead safety meetings as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, SWPPP, and other regulations,
recommending best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned and represent the company
professionally.

Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 15+ years relevant experience in planning, design, and
construction
- At least 10 years in residential development
- Experience in land acquisition, planning, engineering, and
entitlement processes
- Skilled in scoping, bidding, negotiating, and contracting
- Knowledge of risk management, project management, finance, and
legal processes
- Proficiency with technology and Microsoft OfficeWhat's In It
