  • QualificationsCandidate would need experience with both wound care and infection preventionAbility to revise plan of care as indicated by the resident's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectivenessRequires valid RN/LPN license, CPR card and must pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physicalResponsibilitiesAbility to perform wound assessment, reassessment and management for all residents per policyKnowledge of anatomy and physiology and disorders of the dermal systemUtilizes principles of current wound management theory when providing care to residents with acute and chronic woundsDemonstrates thorough knowledge of staging system of woundsDevelops skin care program to prevent skin breakdown of residentsIntegrates research findings to clinical practiceKnowledgeable of surgical procedures and postoperative course of resident undergoing surgeryAbility to adequately assess and reassess painEducates the resident and family regarding pain managementIs a resource person to physicians, nursing and other clinical staffProvides in-services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care and incontinence for the nursing staffQualifications For Treatment Nurse
    • Licensed Nurse with experience in wound management
