Job Title: Operating Room Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license required at the time of start Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: Must have Endo or C-Section experience. Required skills include scrub experience in general, neuro, ortho, ENT, gynecology, urology, endoscopy, C-sections, ophthalmology, and laparoscopic procedures. Ability to work in all areas of SPD (decontamination) is required. Description: This is a day shift position, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The schedule includes Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday that will vary. Floating between rooms may be required, including the Endo unit, SPD, and main operating room. Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests. Experience in robotics is preferred. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No time off is allowed during the first week of assignment due to orientation. References from two managers or supervisors within the past 12 months are highly preferred. Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital based on skills and census. Travel pairs are allowed but must be submitted for and work on different units. Candidates must complete any required modules pre-start and annually.
