Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN
Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Monroe, North
Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg /
Telemetry - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/07/2025 - Duration:13
weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment
Type:Travel - Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months
Med/Tele RN exp - Will accept a first-time traveler: Yes - Required
Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NHSS - Floating within
region and scope of practice - Will be required to float per region
needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as
needed, within scope of practice - Region 2 - Pineville, Anson,
Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main CMC Mercy Levine
Children's Hospital) - If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid
for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the
clock) - Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles
outside of home unit - Orientation includes NEO and 2 days
departmental ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - Patient Ratios: - RN: 1:5-6 -
LPN: 1:5-6 - CNA: 1:8-9 MORE INFORMATION: - 174 licensed beds - No
Trauma Designation - Teaching Hospital: Only Community Schools of
Nursing - Chest Pain Center: No, but part of Lee Garvey Chest Pain
Network - TJC Stroke accredited - Unit Information: 45 beds -
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General surgeries, Orthopedics, Med
Tele, COPD, Stroke, Diabetes, and other general med-surg
populations - Skills required: General Med-Surg RN skills - IV
starts, drain/tube management, wound care, NGT placement, central
line management - Will manage non-titrating Cardiac drips: Cardizem
and Amiodarone, Heparin gtts, blood products - Support within the
Department: - CNA: Nursing support, ADLs, Ambulation, pt's cares,
meal assist., all duties as assigned - Receptionist/HUC: Yes -
Charge nurse: Yes, generally w/o patient assignment with additional
Team Lead support - Phlebotomy team: Yes - IV/VAT Team: Yes -
Resource Nurse: The Team Lead on the unit acts as support to team
and charge RN - RT 24/7: Yes - Hospitalist 24/7: Yes - Intensivist
24/7: In ICU - Telemetry monitoring/tech: Yes, centralized for all
units to 4th floor, 24/7 - Technology/Equipment: - EMR: Epic - IV
