qualified Med/Surg RN in Cornelius, North Carolina, 28031! Pay

Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty:
MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift:
12 Experience: Minimum 18 months in Med/Tele RN License: RN License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong experience in
MedSurg/Telemetry - Skills in Trach care, chest tube management,
PIV starts, wound care, feeding tubes, NGT placement, and
management - Familiarity with common medications such as Cardizem,
Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Octreotide Description: This position
is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry. The
unit consists of a total of 20 beds. All adult Med/Tele diagnoses
are possible on this unit, including COPD, CHF, cardiac arrhythmia
management, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, respiratory illnesses,
gastrointestinal infections, and behavioral health issues.
Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4-5 for telemetry and 1:5-6 for
MedSurg, depending on patient acuity. Support within the department
includes CNAs for vitals, Accuchecks, rounding, feeding, and
activities of daily living support. A secretary is available to
answer phones and call bells. Charge nurses are present and
free-floating. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7, along with
hospitalists and telemetry monitoring. The electronic medical
record system used is EPIC. The IV pump system is Alaris, and
medication dispensing is managed through Omnicell. The unit is
equipped with telemetry monitors and other necessary technology for
patient care. Flexibility is required as this position may involve
floating to other facilities within the region and scope of
practice. Weekend rotations are scheduled every other weekend, with
travelers expected to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off
must be limited to six days, excluding holidays, and should be
added to the contract duration if not fulfilled. Scrub color is
