qualified PCU RN in Burlington, North Carolina, 27215! Pay

Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care
Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current RN license
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred
Must-Have: - Cardiac Progressive Care Unit experience - Comfortable
with 1:5 patient ratios - Previous Charge RN experience preferred -
EKG exam pass required Description: This position requires the
management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring
on the unit is essential. Experience with pre and post cardiac
catheterization care is needed. Peripheral line care and
management, including PICC line management, are required.
Candidates will manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without
titration. Procedural sedation administration experience is
necessary. Candidates should be able to titrate cardiac and
vasoactive drips. Chest tube management skills, including use of
Emerson and Pleur-evac, are required. Experience with external CPAP
and BIPAP is necessary. Tracheostomy management is a requirement
for this role. The focus will be on cardiac patients, including
those with congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and
arrhythmias. Experience with pre and post cardiac catheterization
management is essential. Candidates should be adept at ruling out
myocardial infarction and managing syncope and pacemaker placement.
A secondary focus on respiratory problems, such as COPD and
pneumonia, is required. The department provides care 24/7 and rooms
are monitored remotely. Staff will be scheduled via a self-assisted
schedule based on departmental needs. Weekend rotation and holiday
availability are expected. All travelers may need to float to
different locations if necessary. All candidates must complete full
