Job Description:
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Allied Specialty:
Respiratory Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift
Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Respiratory
Therapy License: NC Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
(Resource Team requirements) Must-Have: RRT or CRT Description: The
facility has 337 licensed beds. It does not have a trauma
designation. It is not a teaching hospital. The facility is a
certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center. The average number of
patients per day is over 300. Teamwork is crucial within the
department, and adherence to values is expected. Patient types
include Adult Care and NICU (no pediatric). Candidates will be
required to float within the region as needed. Floating will be
required within the scope of practice. If floating mid-shift,
travelers will be paid for the time traveling between facilities.
The region includes several facilities and includes Central
Division facilities. Department-specific equipment includes Servo
ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and
bubble CPAP. Skills required include critical care, CVICU, ICU, ED,
and progressive care. Support is available from Respiratory Care
leadership and staff. All floor therapies are included in the skill
set.
