(Part-Time) Specialty: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Location: Statesville, NC (covering 2 nearby nursing homes)
Schedule: Part-time, 3 days/week (6-8 hours per day) Benefits: None
Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
Medical Director (MD/DO) with a background in Internal Medicine or
Family Medicine to oversee clinical care at two skilled nursing
facilities in Statesville, NC. The role is part-time, with coverage
spread across 3 days per week (1 day at one facility and 2 days at
the other). This opportunity is ideal for a physician interested in
post-acute care leadership and dedicated to improving patient
outcomes in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities -
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for two skilled nursing
facilities (close proximity). - Cover 3 days per week (typically
6-8 hours per day). - Ensure high-quality patient care, compliance,
and best practices in post-acute/long-term care. - Collaborate with
nursing staff, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams. -
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory
compliance, and clinical program development. - Handle rapid
responses and codes. - No procedures required - focus on patient
care. - Work in an open ICU setting. Qualifications - MD or DO
degree from an accredited medical school. - Board Certified / Board
Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. - Active and
valid North Carolina medical license. - Experience in post-acute or
skilled nursing facility settings preferred. - Strong leadership,
