Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Cornelius, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,913 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in MedSurg/Telemetry License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong MedSurg/Telemetry experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry. This position requires a minimum of 18 months of relevant experience. The unit consists of 20 beds, with no trauma designation or stroke accreditation. The patient population includes adults with a variety of diagnoses, including COPD, CHF, cardiac arrhythmias, uncontrolled diabetes, respiratory illnesses, GI infections, and behavioral health concerns. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 for telemetry patients and 1:5-6 for MedSurg patients, depending on acuity, with possible increases during surge staffing. Certified Nursing Assistants provide support with vitals, accuchecks, two-hour rounding, feeding, and activities of daily living. Nurses will be expected to perform skills including tracheostomy care, chest tube management, IV starts, wound care, feeding tube management, and NGT placement. Common medications administered include Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Octreotide. Nurses will float within the region and will be required to float to other facilities as needed. This position will involve working on holidays, with expectations set for holiday coverage. Weekend rotation is mandatory, with no call shifts scheduled. The unit utilizes electronic medical records and other advanced technology for patient care. Nurses are expected to demonstrate effective collaboration and communication within the team to ensure quality patient care.
