Inpatient Mental Health facility is seeking a Psychiatrist to join their team. About the Opportunity: Assignment Length: 3 months Shift: 8am-4pm Schedule: Part Time Setting: Inpatient Adult Mental Health Responsibilities included but not limited to are: Patient population: 18 for acute care Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary treatment team that includes providers, nursing, therapy and support staff APP Supervision Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including interviews, physical exams, and reviewing medical histories to diagnose disorders. Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans using medications (psychotropics) and various therapies. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications, evaluating treatment effectiveness. Work closely with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other specialists to provide integrated care. Manage acute psychiatric crises, ensuring patient safety. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical records. Contribute to discharge planning and recommend follow-up care. Requirements: Active North Carolina Medical Doctor (MD) license Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry Preferred : 2 years of psychiatric/mental health experience is preferred
