Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,913 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with patients who have COPD, pulmonary diseases, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, sepsis, and those requiring mechanical ventilation. Experience with tracheostomies, IV drips, temporary/transvenous pacemakers, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, trach care, blood products, and wound care. Description: The facility has 337 licensed beds and is designated as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The unit consists of 36 beds with an average census of 36 patients. The culture within the unit is family-oriented with excellent teamwork. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 3-4 patients and 1 CNA to 9 patients. Support is available from CNAs for patient care, including activities of daily living, vital signs, nutrition, and mobility. Virtual nursing support is also integrated for admissions, discharges, and patient observation. Dedicated staff includes 24/7 RT for nebulizer treatments, a pharmacist, case managers, and a nurse educator. Floating may be required within the designated region, with compensation for travel time during mid-shift floating.
