Registered Nurse / Geriatric Behavioral Health – North Carolina
Start Date: February 2, 2026 Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
Day or Night Shift available; Weekend requirement applies. Day
shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 Behavioral Health Technicians;
Night shift includes 1 RN and 2 Behavioral Health Technicians.
Patient ratios range from 5–9 patients per nurse. Highlights: 9-bed
specialized Geriatric Psychiatry unit focused on compassionate
behavioral health and medical care Cerner EMR system for
streamlined documentation Collaborative team environment with
dedicated behavioral health technicians and support staff
Opportunity to perform vital signs, blood draws, bladder scans, and
respond to rapid response/code situations Float opportunities
across all adult inpatient areas for professional growth and skill
diversification Work with standard medical equipment including IV
pumps, glucometers, Hoyer lifts, and patient monitoring systems
Requirements: Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
eligibility Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience in behavioral health and medical nursing preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability
to de-escalate patients and provide trauma-informed care
