Position Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
Six-week scheduling blocks; three call shifts required per six-week
period; shifts supported by unit secretaries (7:30-4:00) and four
PCTs assigned to specific pods Highlights: 40-bed Post-Anesthesia
Care Unit in a Level II Trauma Center 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
with excellent support staff, including HUCs and PCTs trained in
lab draws, catheterizations, and transport Diverse case mix
including trauma and pediatric patients requiring advanced
monitoring and ventilator management Cerner documentation system
for streamlined charting and communication Float opportunities
within peri-anesthesia departments including Endoscopy, PreOp, and
Phase II Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing
staff Requirements: Active North Carolina RN license or compact
state license Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
NIH Stroke Scale experience required PACU or critical care nursing
experience strongly preferred Trauma and pediatric patient care
experience preferred Ventilator monitoring and management
