Availability for every other weekend shift - Willingness to be
on-call as required Description: This is a critical care nursing
position in the Intensive Care Unit. Ratios are 1:2. Candidates
must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers
are not accepted. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS. The RN
License must be valid and active. On-call requirements are part of
this position. Travelers will float to medical/surgical/telemetry
units as needed. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Local
travelers must be 75 miles from the facility. Pending licenses will
be accepted, but must be obtained prior to starting. All requested
time off must be submitted with the initial application. Attendance
policy is enforced; missing more than two shifts without reasonable
explanation may lead to a review of the contract. Pass/fail tests
will be conducted during orientation, including Cardiac Dysrhythmia
and Moderate Sedation tests. Compliance documents are required
prior to the start date. Experience in charting systems is
preferred, specifically Epic. Special procedures include peritoneal
dialysis and management of ventilated patients. Daily census is
low, allowing for focused patient care. A supportive
interdisciplinary team is available to assist in patient care. This
role requires skilled management of complex medical conditions. 5
