Job Description This regional medical center, located 1 hour from Asheville and 1 hour 15 minutes to Charlotte, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hematology/Oncology physician. Opportunity Overview: 98% Outpatient practice 1:3 Call; Hospitalists facilitate admissions All calls are first routed through 24/7 oncology nurse’s line Never called into hospital 8a-5p Monday-Thursday, 1/2-day Friday (8a-12p) Caseload 13-15 Patients/day 2 PA’s on Staff 2 Radiation Oncologists 2 new linear accelerators 24 infusion chairs Patient navigators & cancer support groups Opportunity for tumor board and cancer committee engagement Network with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases Option for clinical trials Precepting residents available Diagnostics Include: X-ray, CT Ultrasound Mammography Bone Density Nuclear Mobile PET & Mamo MRI & Breast MRI Opportunity to Precept - Graduate Medical Education Internal Medicine Residency Gastroenterology Fellowship Geriatric Fellowship Family Medicine in 2025 Medical Students Hospital Employed - Compensation package includes: Base Salary WRVU Productivity Bonus Incentive CME $6,500 Stipend Sign On Bonus Relocation Stipend Student Loan assistance PSLF – Public Service Loan Forgiveness Robust Benefits PTO Occurrence Medical Malpractice 403b retirement and savings plan About the Hospital Located just an hour from Asheville, the hospital is a not-for-profit system in beautiful Western NC and affiliated with a larger academic health system.
