Job Description:
Southern Health Partners is actively seeking a dedicated and
compassionate PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide day
shift healthcare services at the Cleveland County Jail in North
Carolina. In this role, you will be part of a team striving to
deliver high-quality, cost-efficient healthcare, tailored
specifically to the needs of the correctional environment. You will
work under the direction of registered nurses and doctors to ensure
that incarcerated individuals receive appropriate medical care,
manage patient data, administer medications, and assist in
emergencies, embodying our commitment to innovation and excellence
in correctional healthcare. Administer medications and injections
as ordered by the healthcare provider. Assist in the evaluation of
the health care needs of inmates. Maintain accurate, detailed
medical records and documentation. Perform routine healthcare
screenings. Respond to medical emergencies and provide care.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members. Proficiency in
administering medications and understanding medical doses. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle
high-stress situations and make critical decisions. Experience with
electronic health record systems. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid LPN license in the
state of North Carolina. CPR certification. Preferably certified in
correctional healthcare by the National Commission on Correctional
Health Care (NCCHC).
