ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Burlington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed • Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted • Must have cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios • Previous charge nurse experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIH preferred • Patient ratios 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise mostly 1:5 • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass EKG exam (Pass/Fail requirement with 2 attempts allowed) • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date • Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, peripheral and PICC line management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management with titration, procedural sedation administration, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy management • Care for cardiac patients with conditions including congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization • Secondary focus on respiratory problems such as COPD, pneumonia, and BiPAP management • Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling through Optilink • 24/7 nurse assistants available, RN secretary coverage 7 AM to 11 PM • Use of rapid response teams preferred • Subject to float to any campus if needed Facility: This healthcare facility features a 30-bed cardiac medical progressive care unit that provides comprehensive cardiac care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
