Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Shelby, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,494 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Shelby, North Carolina, 28150! Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 18 months Med/Tele RN experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Basic Med/Tele skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips, IV start skills, blood product administration, wound care, and dressing changes Description: We are seeking a registered nurse for our MedSurg/Tele unit. Our facility has 241 licensed beds and is a Level 3 Trauma Center. The unit consists of 24 beds with an average daily census of 24 patients. The patient demographics include various diagnoses such as cardiac, respiratory, and neurological. Nurses will primarily work with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 during day and night shifts, with potential surge staffing ratios of 1:7-8. Nursing Assistants work on a 1:12 ratio. Support staff includes a charge nurse who may have patient assignments but is a resource for the nursing staff. Phlebotomy and respiratory therapy teams are available 24/7. A hospitalist is on-site during the day, with virtual support in the evenings and overnight. Telemetry monitoring is available remotely with a telemetry technician. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, for at least six months is required. The nursing staff is expected to float between facilities as needed but will be compensated for travel time. Weekend rotation requires nurses to work every other weekend. Travelers may be placed on low census call and can be called off for the entire day if necessary. Holiday expectations include working 75% of designated holidays. Requests for time off may be approved for up to six days, excluding holidays. The shift time is from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, on a schedule cycle rotating every six weeks. Scrub color is navy.
