This pivotal role involves managing hematology patients primarily in an outpatient setting, focusing on benign hematology, with the flexibility to engage in general oncology care as needed. Required Skills: Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology (double certification preferred) Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in hematology and/or oncology Proficiency with the EPIC EMR system and ability to pass assessment prior to start Valid NC state medical license and DEA certification BLS certification Strong communication skills for patient follow-up, new patient assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to work effectively in a team-based inpatient and outpatient environment Comfortable managing approximately 15 patients per day, primarily in hematology, with exposure to general oncology Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in a hospital inpatient setting Additional certifications related to hematology or oncology Fluency in additional languages Past involvement in multidisciplinary treatment teams Preferred Education and Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) At least 2-3 years post-residency experience in hematology/oncology practice Prior experience working with EPIC EMR Other Requirements: Must obtain NC state medical license prior to start Ability to travel for coverage as needed, including flight, rental car, and lodging arrangements Willingness to work day shifts (4x10-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 16:00) Active DEA registration and BLS certification required This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $507.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
