strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an
efficient, professional manner. The Baker will execute and
understand recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and
finished products, use frostings, glazes, fillings, and other
toppings to enhance item presentation, and process orders from
customers. The Baker will also greet customers, answer questions,
clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to
ensure that customer needs are satisfied, and the bakery is
well-stocked and operating smoothly. To be a successful Baker, the
employee should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food
quality and customer satisfaction. The Baker should be organized,
decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking
techniques. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide superior customer
service by greeting customers, answering questions, making
recommendations, accepting orders and payment. Read, understand,
and execute recipes. Measure and combine ingredients using
blenders, heat sources, scales, and other kitchen equipment.
Decorate using frosting, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to
enhance item presentation and display finished product. Perform
test and quality checks on ingredients and finished products, to
ensure each item meets food safety and quality controls. Make and
ball dough, frost and decorate cookies. Maintain proper storage of
food products. Work quickly while accurately following a recipe.
Maintain cleanliness of the store. Work with a team to accurately
complete tasks Clean and restock the workstation and ensure all
equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift. Keep
records relating to orders, deliveries, inventory, and production
levels. Ensure adequate levels of finished goods and boxes to fill
orders. Take client information and ensure that orders deliveries
are fulfilled accurately and on time. QUALIFICATIONS No previous
bakery experience necessary, training is offered on the job.
Energy, focus, and speed are necessary for success in this role.
Excellent customer service skills. A dough maker should be
comfortable working in a high performance, target driven
environment while promoting teamwork and efficiency. Must be
competent in following a recipe and possess basic math and computer
skills. Willingness to work independently or with other team
members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and
create amazing baked goods. Flexibility to work around customer
demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday
availability. COMPETENCIES Design – translates concepts and

when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products;

demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; measures self
against standard of excellence. SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES None
WORKING CONDITIONS Employee is subject to inside environmental
conditions with exposure to excessive heat and noise levels
associated with a hectic kitchen environment. Employee is subject
to prolonged periods of standing and walking. Work is performed
using standard kitchen equipment including but not limited to
blenders, ovens, and scales and point-of-sale terminals. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS Must be able to perform the basic life operational
skills of climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling,
crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying,
handling, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Work
is generally heavy work requiring employee to frequently lift up to
50 pounds for extended periods. Employee is required to have visual
acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the
work assigned, operate a computer terminal, perform extensive
reading, and use measurement devices. Hearing is required to
perceive information at normal spoken work levels. Employees must
use personal protective equipment as required as well as the Crumbl
issued uniform. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possession of Food Handlers
Certificate, or ability to obtain prior to hire. Legally eligible
