Senior Product Designer (Digital & Technology) Location:
Charlotte, NC 28217 Duration: 6 month Contract Work Requirements:
US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Skillset /
Experience: SAP Fiori, Figma, UX Design We're looking for an
experienced Senior Product Designer to join our design team at our
client . This is an opportunity to do highly impactful work on
innovating processes and user workflows on SAP software for
enterprise-level tasks, with specific areas of focus such as sales,
invoicing, financial reporting, etc. In this role, you will have a
close partnership with our operators (end-users) and a
cross-functional agile team to help influence the roadmap, product
strategy, and the User Experience. You will collaborate and work
closely with the Service Design Manager and development team to
solve problems and work on scaling the product together. What
you'll be doing Empathize - Willingness to immerse into the user's
context, learning their internal processes, such as how they
conduct financial reporting, procurement, invoicing and others, to
gain deep empathy for their challenges and opportunities. Simplify
- Translate opportunities and needs into simplified ways to get the
jobs done on SAP S4/Hana while taking into account their offline
workflows and activities. Communicate - Mock-up Lo-Fi "To-Be " user
interfaces (UIs) using SAP Fiori, assembling components as
necessary to communicate design intent. Flexible - Customize and
finalize UIs using existing components out of the box or create new
ones if necessary, including minor modifications when required.
Test - Perform UI testing with actual users using tools like SAP's
Build Me and/or Figma. Collaborate - Iterate on UI designs based on
feedback from multiple stakeholders and user studies, ensuring
continuous improvement and alignment with user needs. Advocate - Be
the key person to foster consistent user experience in the
organization, across our entire product suite, paving the way for
elevated interactions that will redefine user engagement with our
software. Relationships - Build relationships with the
cross-functional partners such as Design, Product Management,
Engineering What you'll bring SAP and/or ERP Experience Experienced
in SAP/Fiori or other ERP/SaaS products (e.g. Salesforce etc)
Experience in designing out-of-the-box Enterprise Level ERP Systems
for large-scale implementation Product Design Designer with a
Product-thinking mindset who thinks through downstream operational
implications when designing products and features. Thinks about
scalability of solutions. Able to identify dependencies across
suite of products and across features User Experience Research
Skills Understands the desires and needs of users/stakeholders and
able to keep an open mind about what they want Advanced knowledge
of UXR and User-testing methodologies Analyze user needs and gather
requirements across multiple product experiences to understand the
dependencies for a common experience solution Expectations and
tasks Embraces ambiguity A self-starter Proactively seeks enough
information, and have conviction to start designing / solutioning
Scrappy when needed Keen to use lo-fi scrappy mock-ups as an
effective and efficient way to quickly gain alignment with others
Adaptable in the use of different design techniques, without the
need to always default on using a design tool like Figma or BuildMe
to communicate design intent and gain alignment Visualize
experience concepts through the creation of wireframes, mockups,
user & process flows, and prototypes Thorough-thinker Thinks
through all aspects of downstream operational implications when
recommending ideas and experience solutions. Articulation Present
and justify proposed solutions and articulate design intent with
key stakeholders Start/Stop Knows when is "good enough” Interpret
requirements Able to understand and interpret Service Design
Manager's direction into scope of work for Product Design Utilize
design research or user testing insights to help inform and improve
upon overall experience direction and validation of solution Able
to understand product requirements and can interpret business
context and goals surrounding the product or feature Design System
Document UI component library and specifications that outlines the
rules and guidance for experiences delivered along with refinements
when necessary About You Design Thinking Expert in basic design
research methods to gain deep user-empathy Able to differentiate
between what user wants to what user really needs Knows how to
synthesize and extract essence of meanings out of research Knows
how to visualize experience concepts through the creation of
wireframes, mockups, user & process flows, and prototypes Location
based in Charlotte, NC Experience over education 7 years of
experience in UX and product design Experience working with
cross-functional teams – partnering with product and development to
oversee the user experience from conception to launch to learn
Education in Interaction Design, Computer Science or similar
Portfolio A strong portfolio showcasing foundational understanding
of UX and UI design, thought process and how you've contributed to
solving specific problems with functional designs Keen ability to
grasp complexity quickly and to focus on key issues Clear
communication skills and ability to present your work to internal
stakeholders at different design stages and support your decisions
Experience with prototyping to explore and convey design solutions
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma,
Miro, etc) Self-guided and motivated to learn new tools and
