Job Description:
Guitar Center, a leader in the musical instrument retail
industry, is seeking a skilled Guitar Technician to join our
Technical Support & Troubleshooting team. This role is crucial for
maintaining the quality and playability of our extensive guitar
inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction and instrumental
performance. The successful candidate will have a deep
understanding of guitar mechanics, an eye for detail, and a passion
for music. This role requires technical expertise in guitar setup,
maintenance, and repair, combined with outstanding customer service
skills. Diagnose and repair guitars, including electrical and
acoustic models Set up guitars to meet customer specifications and
manufacturer standards Conduct regular maintenance checks and
adjustments on store inventory Advise customers on guitar care and
suitable upgrades or accessories Maintain detailed records of
services rendered and parts used Collaborate with sales team to
provide expert knowledge and recommendations Manage inventory of
parts and tools required for repair and maintenance tasks Strong
understanding of guitar hardware and electronics Proficiency in
various guitar repair tools and techniques Excellent manual
dexterity and attention to detail Ability to work independently and
manage multiple tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills for inventory and record keeping Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification from
a recognized luthier school (preferred but not required)
