Job Description Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Paint
Prepper is responsible for preparing signage parts and products for
paint processing by disassembling, inspecting, curing, and
grinding/buffing parts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inspect, diagnose, and
study parts needed to be prepared for painting process. Disassemble
extra pieces from parts that do not need to be painted, separate
and sort. Prepare sign surfaces, parts and materials by sanding,
taping, priming, masking, and polishing panels and doing light body
work. Remove all dust and other particles from prepared panels to
avoid contamination and/or defects. Cure parts surface by applying
cleaning solvents, adhesives, sealants, or coating needed. Assist
painter in pre-paint blending instructions. Inspect pieces after
paint is dry to ensure accuracy and fix any defects detected.
Reassemble completed parts with extra pieces removed during the
preparation process. Perform light housekeeping to maintain paint
booths clean and clear. Job Requirements Education: Required
training in vocational school, related on-the-job experience, or
GED. Work Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience working in
HVLP spray painting with either polyurethane and/or epoxy single
stage paints preferred. Signage manufacturing industry knowledge is
preferred. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described
here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk and hear. This position is very active and
requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching,
crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this this job include close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to
adjust focus. May be required to do limited work outdoors. While
performing job duties, employee may often change from one task to
another of a different nature, subject to high level of
stress/pressure. Work Conditions: While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne
particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level
in the work environment can be loud. Safety & Security: Responsible
for following all safety, and security of, areas assigned or as
directed by Hilton Displays policy. Report all accidents, however
slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises
without reporting any accident that occurred during your working
time. If you should need medical treatment during your non-work
hours, you should contact your supervisor. Hilton Displays strives

– Friday OR whatever hours are required to meet the business needs
of the job. The position also requires weekend work schedule for
Saturdays and Sundays when production area is running. Work Attire:
