Job Description Job Description This Quality Control Lab
Technician is responsible for working in a laboratory environment
and performing inspections and quality tests on batches of ink,
incoming raw materials, aqueous coatings, UV coatings, pressroom
chemistry products, and other associated materials. This position
must communicate and interact daily with the operations and
technical employees. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: •
Test random samples from production batches/lots of UV and Water
based Inks, Coatings and Adhesives and recommend adjustments
according to the company Quality Standards. • Inspection of raw
materials to support purchase decisions and to help reducing
quality variability. • Follow the testing procedures outlined in
the Quality Manual and suggest improvements. • Evaluate performance
of new formulas and inspection plans and work with the formulators
and the operations group on their improvement. • Document and
record quality control test results for raw materials,
intermediates and finished goods. • Support the resolution of
quality complaints generated internally and externally. • Follow
safety guidelines. • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace. • Any
additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the company or

Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 2 year
Associates Degree or 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Science related
field required. Applicants with extensive inks/coatings experience
will be considered. Ability to distinguish color nuances will be
required. Ideally will have a chemistry degree or equivalent work
experience. They are open to Biology degrees as well (Rhiannon the
hiring manager has a biology degree not a chem degree). Experience
Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position
based out of Kings Mountain, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for
this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply
to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and
