Job Description:
GXO Logistics, a leading provider of advanced supply chain
solutions, is seeking a dedicated Safety Supervisor to join our
team. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing workplace safety and
ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company-defined safety
standards. By integrating cutting-edge technology and
methodologies, the Safety Supervisor will contribute directly to
GXO's commitment to operational excellence and sustainability. The
ideal candidate will be adept at risk management, safety audits,
and employee training, playing a crucial role in maintaining our
reputation as a safe, efficient logistics leader. Develop,
implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance
with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety
audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and
implement corrective measures promptly. Lead incident
investigations and generate detailed reports and recommendations to
prevent future occurrences. Organize and conduct training sessions
for staff on safety practices, crisis response, and regulatory
compliance. Monitor compliance with safety procedures and evaluate
the effectiveness of safety equipment and protocols. Work closely
with management to develop and implement safety campaigns aimed at
enhancing the safety culture within the organization. Liaise with
regulatory bodies to ensure that the company remains compliant with
all external safety regulations. Expert knowledge of workplace
safety and health standards Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills Proficient in the use of safety audit tools and
methodologies Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to train and motivate staff towards maintaining high safety
