Job Description:

Southern Health Partners is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Medical Team Administrator at the Iredell County Jail in NC. This position requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and administrative skills, serving both as a caretaker and a leader within our medical unit. This role involves direct patient care, overseeing the medical team, implementing health care plans, and ensuring compliance with all health care regulations. Provide direct nursing care to patients within the correctional facility Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare team members Administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and conduct health assessments Manage medical records and document patient data Lead, supervise, and train the nursing staff within the facility Ensure adherence to all facility, state, and federal regulations concerning healthcare Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including doctors and administrative staff Handle medical emergencies as they arise Participate in the development of healthcare policies Strong clinical skills and proficiency in delivering patient care Excellent leadership and team management abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate medical equipment Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations relevant to correctional facilities Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Capability to handle sensitive information confidentially Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina CPR/BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Experience in correctional healthcare is a plus but not mandatory
